Kuxtal Certificates
At Kuxtal we are committed to the health of the environment and our consumers. As you know, our products are free of toxic and damaging ingredients that can harm you, but we also make sure to be friendly to our environment.
For this reason we present our ecological grade, a SCALE designed to identify, in a simple way, the level of care that we put into each of our home care products. You will also find our certificate that we do not affect the environment.
The color scale is easy to interpret; green represents the level with the highest ecological grade and red indicates the lowest. Each product of the Home Line must meet specific and very rigorous criteria to be considered in one of the four levels. The more of these guidelines are fulfilled, the higher the ecological grade in the KUXTAL SCALE.

KUXTAL ONLY HAS YELLOW OR HIGHER-LEVEL PRODUCTS
As you can see, all cleaning products are rated yellow or green on the scale. Even those that were cataloged in orange meet high criteria of commitment to health and the environment. We don’t offer substandard items, so you won’t find a single red or orange rated one. In this way, your family can feel calm and safe with any cleaning product.

At Kuxtal we seek that our formulas generate the least possible damage to the environment, which is why we decided to verify the biodegradability of our Home Line products, under the highest international standards, in this case under the OECD 301-A verification. The results are conclusive and certify its biodegradability.
WE HAVE A BIODEGRADABILITY CERTIFICATE ENDORSED BY UNAM
By its own initiative, KUXTAL has a biodegradability certificate, issued by the Departments of Biology in the Faculty of Chemistry belonging to the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM); this despite the fact that no institution requires such a test. Which means that our products are the only ones on the market that have the backing of the highest university in Mexico.
OUR LIQUID LAUNDRY BIODETERGENT CERTIFIED BIODEGRADABLE IN 7 DAYS
The Kuxtal Bio Liquid Laundry Detergent has a biodegradability certificate in accordance with the OECD 301A international standard, according to which our product decomposes naturally by the action of biological agents in less than seven days.
The specific test was carried out using activated sludge*, in which the Bio Liquid Laundry Detergent sample is placed and allowed to incubate. The process is measured and monitored over 28 days and, to pass the test, there must be a removal of up to 70% organic carbon in a window of less than 10 days. Kuxtal’s Liquid Biodetergent for Clothes achieved a biodegradation of 96.9% in a period of only seven days, greatly exceeding the test.
* Set of aerobic microorganisms that degrade organic matter, a method that is also used to clean wastewater.
OUR BIO-FLOOR CLEANER CERTIFIED AS BIODEGRADABLE IN 7 DAYS
Our biocleaner was analyzed by the EBYSOS laboratory, which certified it as biodegradable within 7 days. The assay was performed using a 0.002% dilution of the sample product. The results were compared under the validation protocol of the OECD 301-A international standard, which concluded that the tested sample already showed a biodegradability greater than 80% in that period. The process is measured and monitored for at least 28 days. Our biocleaner largely passed the test.
OUR LIQUID BIODETERGENT FOR DISHES CERTIFIED AS BIODEGRADABLE IN 20 DAYS
Our biodetergent was analyzed by the EBYSOS laboratory, which certified it as biodegradable within 20 days. The assay was performed using a 0.002% dilution of the sample product. The results were compared under the validation protocol of the OECD 301-A international standard, which concluded that for that period, the tested sample already showed a biodegradability greater than 80%. The process is measured and monitored for at least 28 days. Our biodetergent passed the test without difficulty.
OUR POWDERED BIOBLEACHER CERTIFIED AS BIODEGRADABLE IN 21 DAYS
Our biobleach was analyzed by the EBYSOS laboratory, which certified it as biodegradable within 21 days. The assay was performed using a 0.002% dilution of the sample product. The results were compared under the validation protocol of the OECD 301-A international standard, which concluded that for that day, the tested sample already showed a biodegradability greater than 80%. The process is measured and monitored for at least 28 days. Our biobleach easily passed the test.
OUR SURFACES BIOCLEANER CERTIFIED AS BIODEGRADABLE IN 6 DAYS

EFFECTIVENESS AGAINST VIRUSES, COVID-19, BACTERIA AND FUNGI
At Kuxtal our commitment has always been with your health, that of your family and that of the environment, which is why we have requested, on our own initiative, the analysis of our Antibacterial Spray and our Environmental and Surface Sanitizer to verify and demonstrate the effectiveness in disinfection and sanitization of its formulas based on natural ingredients.
Our Environmental and Surface Sanitizer, as well as our Antibacterial Spray, meet the EPA’s virucidal specifications.
That is why we are proud to present you the most recent virucidal activity certificates for two of our new products: Antibacterial Spray and Environmental and Surface Sanitizer. This means that both comply with what is specified by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to guarantee their virucidal activity (against viruses).
The test determined its high capacity to eliminate viral particles such as those of Covid-19
Both were studied following the methodology of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). To evaluate the virucidal activity on SARS-CoV-2, the Equine arteritis virus ATCC VR-796 was used during the study because both are enveloped in RNA (ribonucleic acid) and belong to the order Nidovirales (which includes the coronavirus, Toro virus and Roni virus).
This test determined its ability to remove viral particles (Covid-19 and others) from a surface. In the case of the Environmental and Surface Sanitizer with an efficiency of more than 99.9999%, as for the Antibacterial Spray it was more than 99.99%, both after 10 minutes of contact.
It has also been proven that they eliminate other highly pathogenic microorganisms such as fungi and bacteria, including:
-Staphylococcus aureus (Staphylococcus aureus): skin and bone infections, pneumonia, endocarditis, food poisoning and toxic shock syndrome
-E.coli (Escherichia coli): hemorrhagic diarrhea, kidney failure and even death.
–Pseudomonas aeruginosa: serious external and internal infections affecting the lungs, bloodstream, or heart valves
–Aspergillus brasiliensis: infections in immunosuppressed people, as well as lung problems
–Candida albicans:candidiasis, infection that affects the mouth, esophagus, skin, vagina and even the blood
